It sometimes doesn’t take a lot……

to make us happy!! Most of you know that we went home to Sweden for a couple of weeks visiting family and friends a month ago or so. Some of the things we looked forward to while being home were the Red Pölse on the ferry between Denmark and Sweden (we flew in to Copenhagen) and the licorice, can you tell???!!!!

Thomas takes is Red Pölse very seriously, lol!!!

This is how happy we turned after we found all the licorice on the ferry and it just went downhill from here, two weeks of overdosing on licorice and små godis, lol!!

Upholstery Quick Fix

Before picture……decided to give our chairs in the kitchen some much needed TLC

fun fact, chairs are made back home in Sweden and one seat has this label underneath.....Made in Rosenfors for a customer in Vimmerby, the town we lived in before moving to Californa and the label is printed in Oskarshamn, the town I'm born in........

start to take off the old material

if the padding is in good shape, cover with some dacron and you are all set to go.....

pick a material, I had some left over material from before.....

voila!

All done!!

Hjorteds Moped Museum

We were fortune to visit Hjorteds Moped Museum when we were back home in Sweden last month. Bosse the owner, opened up his museum just for us! It was so much fun to walk around and look at the huge collections of mopeds, bicycles and all the vintage things that Bosse and his wife Pam collected over the years.

If you are ever in Småland, Sweden you have to take the drive to Hjorted, just make sure you have plenty of time as it is a lot to look at and you notice more and more things as you walk around. Thanks Bosse and Pam for a couple of very fun and informative hours!!

Show n Go Riverside

Me and the Hubby went to the Show n Go Car Show in Riverside for a couple of hours Saturday afternoon, we kind of got there late but we still managed to catch a quite a few cool Hot Rods.

This one was absolutely stunning!!

Even a couple of tractors were cruising the streets ;o)

It tasted good with ice cold latte after walking around for a while

Historic Mission Inn is located in downtown Riverside

We ended the day at the Cheesecake Factory, my blue cheese hamburger tasted delicious, no counting of calories that day ;0)

Thomas made sure that they were mixing the Long Island Ice Teas correct!

Back home in California

Can't believe it’s already a week since we got home from our trip back home to Sweden.  We had a good time visiting friends and family and most of all we got to spend time with my mother-in-law which was the main reason we went home. She just got diagnosed with lung cancer and according to the doctors that is not much they can do ;o( …… She is doing pretty good considering the fact and takes one day at the time.

I got a new camera just before we left and I had a great time taking lots and lots of pictures………

We had wonderful weather the whole time we were home considering it could be snowing over there this time of the year……..

I have spent every summer at this lake while growing up, it is just about 100 feet down from the house I grew up in.
